The NECSD Curriculum and Instruction Department provides support to instructional staff throughout the district includings teachers, principals, directors, academic specialists, guidance counselors and more. Our department also analyzes student performance data through testing and assist teachers in adapting their teaching methods to meet the needs of their individual students. A bi-annual newsletter is also sent out to faculty to keep them up to date on the latest education changes, new resources available to them and information on happenings within the district.
Common Core Standards - We have setup a webpage with the latest information on the adoption of the common core standards. As we recieve new information, we will post the newest information there. Also includes documents from recent workshops for Faculty.
Many academic departments fall under the guidance of the Curriculum & Instruction Department. As we continue to create webpages for each specific department you will see that we have added them to the column on the right hand side of this page. Each academic department webpage includes helpful resources, curriculum maps (if applicable), information about the director of the department and more.
Coming Soon. We have begun implementing a Teacher/Faculty Portal here on the district website. You can register for the service using your @necsd.net email address. The teacher portal includes
teacher tutorials for services such as Safari Montage, Castle Learning, Infinite Campus and others,
teacher webpage access, and a
teacher forum where teachers can communicate easily with teachers throughout the district. We are working on adding additional features all the time, if you have any suggestions let us know.
