Character Education
New Windsor School recognizes students each month for modeling a specific character trait. Each month an assembly is held to honor these students' accomplishments. As well, we have guest speakers from the local community that come to each assembly to speak about that months Character Education trait.
Along with a certificate from the school, each student also receives certificates from Orange County Sheriff Carl DuBois, Assemblywoman Nancy Calhoun, Councilwoman Patricia Mullarkey, Senator William Larkin, and County Executive Edward Diana and a meal certificate from a local restaurant.

April – Moral Courage
May- Cooperation
