October is Parent and Family Involvement Month
The Newburgh Enlarged City School District values parent involvement and recognizes that parent involvement is an important component of student achievement.
NECSD promotes active partnerships with parents, community members, businesses and agencies. Parents volunteer in the schools during the school day and participate as members of Compact Building Committees. The District also offers parents opportunities to volunteer at the district level.
Parents, community members and businesses who want to be involved with schools in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District are encouraged to contact the office of that school for additional information. Businesses and community partners can choose to work with schools on specific or on-going projects.
In addition to helping in the classroom, parents, community, and business volunteers can serve on a number of education-related school committees, notably, COMPACT Committees and Parent-Teacher Groups.
