Goldbacks in the News! South Middle School Exceptional Learners and Student Government Interviewed

Scholars from South Middle School Exceptional Learners and Student Government were interviewed by the Mid-Hudson Times “What Kids Say Section.” Students were featured in the May 23, 2018 edition.

The question posed was: “What is something you like to do in warmer weather?”

Kayla Pelsue, 6th grade, Student Government
“Going outside more and being able to go outside for lunch. I also really like the flowers that blossom in the spring!”

Selina Aldea, 7th grade
“I like to go swimming and to go to the beach in Florida. I have a great grandmother who lives there.”

Alex-Terrell Lewis, 8th grade
“I like to mow the grass and help with the garden. I like to rake and till the garden. My favorite veggie to grow is collard greens.”

Carol Zapotitla, 8th grade
“I like to go the park and go on the swings. And go to the beach to go swimming and playing.”

Angelina Nieves, 7th grade
“I like to go swimming. That’s the main thing I like to do. I go to the Newburgh pool.”

Arletth Gailindo, 6th grade
“I like to go swimming and to go to the beach. And going in the hot tub! I also like sleeping.”
