NWC Optimist Club Unites With NFA Theater Students to Raise Funds for Annual Spring Production

Recently, three local organizations united to help one another for a good cause during a recent yard/craft sale held at the Balmville Grange. Recently, the Balmville Grange offered the New Windsor / Cornwall Optimist Club the opportunity to run a concession stand during the yard sale time. The NWC Optimist Club chose to sponsor the spot and allowed Newburgh Free Academy theater students to sell food, snacks, and drinks to raise money for their upcoming Spring 2010 production. The food supplies sold that day were also purchased and donated by the Optimist Club of New Windsor / Cornwall. In total, the theater group raised $150 that day for the Spring NFA Play production.

The NFA Theater group puts on wonderful productions each Spring through the efforts of outstanding sophomores, juniors, and seniors who want to remind us all that there are things to sing and dance about in life.

The theater group will also be selling more $5 BonTon Community Day booklets to support their Spring production in the upcoming weeks in the BonTon store in the Newburgh Mall or through the NWC Optimist Club at (845)569-7083.
