Basic Electricity (10)        CRS NUMBER 726     CREDIT 0.5

This course covers basic fundamentals of electricity and electronics. Topics covered will be basic housing wiring, electronics, low-voltage applications, energy supplies and measurement, and basic audio systems. Students will make an electronics project and practice house wiring.

Electronics 1 (10-12)         CRS NUMBER 706    CREDIT 1.0

This course includes a review of basic mathematics and algebra and the introduction of basic physics. Basic electricity, including DC and AC theory, semiconductor theory and application is emphasized. Lab work includes building kits to emphasize the application of schematic diagrams, meters, oscilloscopes and other test equipment.

Electronics 2 (11, 12)         CRS NUMBER 707    CREDIT 1.0

This course includes the study of semiconductor diodes, transistors and integrated circuits. A comprehensive study is made of circuitry as applied to all types of consumer electronic devices. Specific effort is made to provide training in logic circuits, digital electronics, electronic devices, computer repair and sophisticated test equipment. Lab work includes building kits at an increased skill level and projects that emphasize the application of analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills, schematic diagram interpretation, and meters and oscilloscope familiarity.
