     The Newburgh Enlarged City School District’s kindergarten registration will take place for those children who will be five years old on or before December 1, 2010 from Mon., January 11, 2010 until Fri., March 19, 2010.

     If a child is currently attending one of the NECSD Universal Pre-K Programs which includes: Pre-K Center at Washington St, Pre-K Center at Renwick St., Head Start, Windsor Academy, and Newburgh Day Nursery, there is no need to register. A one page choice application will be sent home with your child before the end of January.

     All other children who are not currently enrolled in one of the NECSD programs must register with the Office of Registration located in the Board of Education at 124 Grand Street, Newburgh NY 12550. The Office of Registration is open daily Monday through Friday from 9a.m. until 1p.m. For more information please call 563-KIDS (5437).

The documents needed for registration are:

1. Birth certificate.
2. Immunizations/shot record.
3. Proof of residency, one of the following:
        Utility bill (gas, oil, electric, telephone, or cable)
         Rental agreement / lease agreement / rent receipt
         Mortgage statement
4. Government issued Picture I.D. of the parent/guardian.
