NECSD Announces Fall Sports Starting Dates
The Newburgh Enlarged City School District’s Athletic Department has announced the following starting dates for fall sports for the 2010-2011 school year.
| Varsity, JV, and Freshman Football | Monday, August 16, 2010 |
| All other Varsity and JV Teams | Monday, August 23, 2010 |
| All Modified Sports Teams | Thursday, September 2, 2010 |
- Physical exams are good for one year from the date that they are given, and remain so until the last day of the month in which they were given.
- If you have already had a physical exam or if you plan to have one between May 28, 2010 and August 15, 2010 you must pick up an “Interim Health History Form” from your coach or your school health office and follow the directions below.
- If you have a physical done by your physician after the close of school, also follow the directions below.
In order for a student to obtain a yellow clearance slip, the student must return the interval health history form and/or the physician’s physical examination form to the Newburgh Free Academy Health Office during the time frame from Mon., July 26, 2010 through Fri., August 27, 2010 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Students will be asked to leave their forms and then will be given a date and time to return for their clearance slip. This will give the health office staff sufficient time to obtain and review the student’s school health records.
