NFA West Students visit Meadow Hill for Read or Treat
NFA West students traveled to Meadow Hill School for their Annual Read or Treat community service event as a part of the WEST University Thursday program. 9th and 10th grade West students greeted and welcomed students as they walked into school, read books to Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders and assisted with classroom activities. Meadow Hill students received 350 NFA West “Read or Treat” gift bags at the conclusion of the event.
Students in Ms. Kondas’s class (with teaching assistants - Mrs. Mennerich, Ms. Ferrari and Mrs. Monroig) participated in a collaborative learning experience with students from NFA West. NFA West came to Meadow Hill for a “Read and Treat” they pushed into the classroom to read to the students and assist in their learning. Students worked together to carve out pumpkins, sort the seeds. Students then took turns to plan out the Jack-o-lanterns face, utilizing a core board to assist with communication!
