Newburgh Comes Together to Help Families in Need
The Kiwanis Club's 7th Warm Beginning Baby Shower was a great success thanks to the Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District (NECSD), the NFA Key Club and Ulster Savings Bank who coordinated community donations. The annual baby shower is for infants in the maternity unit at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall (MSLC) and to help the newborns and their families get the best start possible. The FACE team created donation boxes that were housed in school buildings throughout the district. Thanks to their efforts and the donations of the Newburgh community, the MSLC team received an incredible amount of brand new items including 22 car seats, 24 baby baskets, clothes, blankets, diapers, breast pumps and so much more!
A very huge Thank You to all of the Newburgh community members who donated and offered support.
