Our Programs
Heritage Middle School has 3 teams at each grade level. We provide a variety of Special Education services, ENL services, a Dual Language Program, and World Languages in Spanish and Italian (starting in Grade 7). Currently, an accelerated art class is available to 6th grade scholars. Accelerated courses in Math, Science, Social Studies and Art are available for scholars in Grades 7. In Grade 8, Regents courses are offered in Algebra 1 and Earth Science. Over the three years here at HMS, scholars will have an opportunity to take a selection of exploration courses which include Home and Career Skills, Tech, Library, Health, Digital Art, Art, General Music, Chorus, Band and Orchestra. Late buses are provided Mondays-Thursdays for After School Homework Help and participation in school clubs. Current clubs at Heritage include: Ski Club, Irish Music Club, Guitar Club, Band Club, Jazz Band, Girls-to-Ladies Club, Student Government and National Junior Honor Society. In addition, our school invites scholar participation in planning a variety of school events such as the Veterans Day Breakfast, International Night and Literacy Escapes. Our scholars also participate in Student Led Conferences in the fall taking ownership and responsibility of their learning by setting goals and sharing strengths and areas of growth with their teachers and family members.
