"C" Day
Chromebooks!!
Please charge your chromebooks overnight so they are fully charged for the next day! You must bring them to school daily! Chargers are available at school if you need one. If you have any problems with your chromebook, notify your teacher so it can get repaired right away!! Please fill out the COVID screening tracker that is located on your Launchpad in your Homeroom class each day!
Water refill stations are now available to refill water containers. Make sure you bring enough water to school.
NYS Assessment Tests!
NYS ELA Assessment will be administered on Tuesday, April 20th (make-up date is Thursday, April 22nd).
NYS Math Assessment will be administered on Tuesday, May 4th (make-up date is Thursday, May 6th).
NYS Science Assessment will be administered on Monday, June 7th (make-up date is Tuesday June 8th).
Students that are in school will be taking the tests until 9:00am and then continue with their classes. Students that are 100% virtual will be assigned asynchronous assignments for 1st and 2nd period and log on at 9:00am for synchronous instruction for the rest of the day. All in-school students not participating in the assessments will go and sit in class during testing and then continue with going to class for instruction at 9:00am.
Empire After-School Program!!
This program offers students academic support and the opportunity to work and talk to teachers and peers in a small group setting. It also teaches students a new skill or engage in a new activity based on their interests. The program focuses on the academic improvement, social and emotional learning, and the health and well-being of the community we serve. The program will start Wednesday 3/3/21 as virtual classes from 3-4 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you are interested, there is a post in the student's google classroom with an application to sign up or you can sign up on the NECSD Website. Don't miss out on the Empire Program!!
Upcoming Holidays!
A religious Holiday will be observed on Thursday, May 13th. On Tuesday, May 18th, there is a 1/2 day Superintendent's Conference Day - there will be no students in school that day. Memorial day will be observed on Monday, May 31st. On Wednesday, June 23 and Thursday, June 24, there are Superintendent Conference Days - there will be no middle or high school students in school. Elementary students need to attend those days. The last day of school will be on Friday, June 25th.
