Heritage Middle School Hosts Friendsgiving Game Day to Celebrate Positive Behavior and Attendance
Heritage Middle School recently held a special Friendsgiving Game Day to celebrate the achievements of our sixth-grade students and reinforce the importance of positive behavior and strong attendance. The event, held on Tuesday, November 26, during 3rd & 4th period in the cafeteria, was a vibrant and engaging celebration filled with games, snacks, and community-building activities.
The Purpose Behind the Event
Friendsgiving Game Day was more than just a celebration; it was a recognition of the remarkable strides our students have made in fostering a positive school culture. Sixth grade achieved an impressive milestone in November for positive behaviors. This reflects the efforts of students and staff alike in creating a supportive and respectful environment.
Additionally, the event recognized students with 95% or higher attendance for the months of September and October. Attendance is a key factor in student success, and we wanted to celebrate those who consistently show up ready to learn and engage.
Highlights of the Event
The cafeteria was transformed into a hub of fun and connection as students participated in a variety of board games and interactive activities. Thanks to the generosity of staff, families, and community members, there was no shortage of games and snacks for everyone to enjoy. Students laughed, strategized, and bonded over their favorite games, creating memories that will last long after the event.
Throughout the celebration, students were reminded of the importance of maintaining positive behavior and strong attendance. The event served as a reinforcement of the values we strive to cultivate at Heritage Middle School: respect, accountability, and community.
Building a Positive School Culture
Friendsgiving Game Day exemplifies the commitment of Heritage Middle School to recognize and reward positive behaviors. By celebrating these achievements, we hope to inspire all students to continue striving for excellence both inside and outside the classroom.
A big thank you to our staff, students, and families for making this event a success. Together, we are building a school community where every student feels supported, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.
