NFA West Scholars Participate in Interviews for GAMS Leadership Jobs
Scholars at NFA West interviewed scholars from GAMS as they interviewed for leadership positions that are available around their school. Prior to the interview day, scholars at GAMS participated in a Leader In Me Job Fair. During the job fair, tables were set up that explained different jobs that are available around the school. Jobs that scholars from GAMS were able to apply for over 30 different jobs including : Student Ambassador, Peer Motivator, Pre- K leader, School Store Leader, Safety-Patrol, Office- Clerk, Reader Leader, Music Leader, to name a few. Over 200 students in grades 3-5 applied for leadership positions.
Scholars from both GAMS and NFA West wore their most professional outfits, came prepared with resumes or questions as they participated in the interviews.
Mr. James Brantley, 11th grade and Mr. Unique Fuller, 9th grade, current NFA West scholars returned to their former elementary school to participate in the day.
Additional participants who collaborated on the interview panel included teachers, school counselors throughout NECSD, directors and supervisors, and Dr. Padilla, our Superintendent
