Newburgh Free Academy Hosts Annual Student Designed Fashion Show
High school students from Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus hosted their annual Fashion Show. Students in Fashion 2, Fashion 3, and Independent Study showed off looks that they have been working on all year.

A special thanks to the emcee of the evening, Mr. Robert Shust, assistant principal of Newburgh Free Academy, Main Campus, to Ms. Leanne Paganelli for help with hair and make-up, to the models for the show, and to Mr. Chris Cotton and his students for creation and set up of the stage.
The judges for the show also deserve some special thanks.
Torrance Harvey, Mayor of Newburgh and Social Studies teacher at Newburgh Free Academy North Campus/NFA PTECH. Ms. Deanna Gonzalez, graduate of NFA, class of 2002, was in our fashion program and was the winner of the Best in Show that year. Deanna graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and has worked for Komar Industries as a designer for ten years. Ms. Kiara Rivera graduate of NFA, class of 2016. Kiara was in the fashion program and won the Best in Show award for that year. Kiara currently attends Mount Saint Mary College in their Nursing Program. Mr. Nick Valentine, owner and tailor in the City of Newburgh was in attendance at the show. Mr. Valentine welcomes an intern from NFA each year to learn at his shop.
Fashion classes and the Fashion Show at Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus are taught and advised by Ms. Karen Stafford.
