NFA Swimmer Elle Gerbes is a state competitor and an NFA swimming record-breaker!

Elle Gerbes qualified and competed in the NYS Girls Swimming State Championship meet for the second consecutive year. Elle competed in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle. Going into the meet Elle was seated 13th in the 50 free. At prelims on the first night, she placed 10th, moving into the top 10. At finals the following day, Elle placed 9th and broke her own NFA record with a time of 23.97.

In the 100 free Elle was seeded 13th going into finals on the second day of competition and moved into 12th place with a time of 53.13.

Each section votes for one swimmer in their section to win the Good Sportsmanship award. Elle was unanimously voted to receive the Good Sportsmanship Award by every coach in Section IX this year, which is a tremendous honor for Elle and a wonderful representation of herself, her team, and her school.
