Information about Election Day

All schools and district offices will be open for a full day of school on Tuesday, November 3rd.

The safety and security of our students and staff remain our highest priority. As some of our school facilities serve as polling sites on Election Day, all designated voting areas (such as gyms or libraries) will have a dedicated, single point of entry and will remain secured from the rest of the school building. Voters are not permitted in student areas.

Additionally, if you plan to vote at a school polling location during school arrival or dismissal times, please expect higher than normal traffic volumes in and around school grounds. We encourage everyone to plan their visits accordingly to ensure a smooth and safe process for both voters and families. Thank you for your cooperation!

The district typically will close school on election day in years that a presidential election is taking place. 

November calendar reminder

This is a friendly reminder that the district will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day. All schools and district offices will reopen on Thursday, November 12th.

2026-2027 District Calendar Update

One printed wall calendar will be distributed to each family this fall in student backpacks. We will send a calendar home with the youngest and only children in our district. Families that would like to request an additional calendar should contact their child's school directly. Community members who would like to request a calendar should email Communications@necsd.net.
