This is a friendly reminder that the District will be closed from Monday, April 14th - Friday, April 18th for Spring Recess. All schools and building offices will reopen on Monday, April 21st. Additionally, at a Regular meeting held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the Board of Education approved Friday, May 23rd, and Tuesday, May 27th as additional days the district will be closed, due to unused emergency days.

As a reminder, you can add important school and district dates, including letter days, to your personal calendar by following these instructions.

Wall calendars have been distributed one per family to the youngest and only children of each household and one per faculty/staff member. If you need an additional calendar for your home or classroom, please contact your child's school building or email Communications@necsd.net.

REMINDER | 2025-2026 SCHOOL CALENDAR

The Board of Education approved the 2025-2026 school year calendar at a Regular Board of Education meeting held on Tuesday, February 25th. The 2025-2026 Single Page District Calendar can be found by clicking the title link. The district calendar can always be found on the right-hand side of the district website NewburghSchools.org or using the search terms 'District Calendar' in the search bar. 

REGENTS REMINDER

Newburgh Free Academy will offer Regents Exams on June 11th and June 17th - June 25th with June 26th-27th being Regents Exams Rating Days. All high School students should report to school on June 10th. On days that Regents exams are offered at the high school, only high school students scheduled for an exam should report to school during their scheduled exam. 

A previous version of the single page 2024-2025 District Calendar listed June 10th as a Regents day. The printed wall calendar and desk calendars list both June 10th and June 11th as Regents days. Although NYS is offering Regents exams on both days, NFA is not offering Regents exams on June 10th. Exams scheduled for that day will be offered at a later date. The single page 2024-2025 District Calendar has been updated to reflect the NFA offerings correctly. More information about the Regents Exams will be shared by the high school soon.
