Hello 8th grade Goldbacks!
It's time for current Grade 8 students to make a selection for high school! The Newburgh Enlarged City School District currently has two High School campus options, Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus and North Campus, with multiple special programs to apply for students who are specifically interested. As a reminder, High School Selection Tours will be held throughout the month of January.
Selection Tours
High School Selection Tour are occurring throughout January. Information can be found here. Additional information about the schools and their various programs can be found at our NECSD website newburghschools.org.
Selection Information | Parent Portal Survey:
School preference selection takes place utilizing a Parent Portal Survey. The Survey will be available January 5, 2026 through February 6, 2026. You will need to have an active Parent Portal to complete the survey. A preference of NFA Main Campus or NFA North Campus must be made. This preference, however, is not a guarantee of building assignment.
If your child is interested in certain specific programming, there is a required supplemental application process that must be completed. Click on the link to the title for the program of interest below to complete the appropriate application for the program of interest.
Supplemental applications for programs of interest must be completed no later than February 6, 2026.
