NEW FAMILIES
This is for families who do not currently have a child attending the NECSD.
General Registration Information for New Families
Please complete the OnLine Application for new families. If you do not have access to technology, please call or email the Welcome Center to reserve a timeslot to use one of our devices. 845.563.KIDS(5437) or email registration@necsd.net
- Registration is Available for established residents residing within the geographical borders of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. Residency verification documentation is required
- In order to register your child, you will need to complete the OnLine Registration Application
- Please be sure to write down or take a screenshot of your application number and keep it in a safe place. This will be needed throughout the Registration process. This number will be assigned in the beginning of the application and will appear in RED
- You may register more than one child in a single application
- Please be sure to provide an active and accessible email address in the Application. As your application moves through processing, you may receive emails regarding important information and status updates
- Applications are reviewed in order of submission. A Registration Specialist will contact you both by phone and email throughout the process
- Students are assigned to buildings based upon current enrollment availability with the exception of Pre-Kindergarten which is assigned by zones

EARLY INTERVENTION AND PRE-SCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM INFORMATION
Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education Services are available for residents of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District
- Please pay close attention to the year you are selecting during the registration process.
- Early Intervention is available for student who have demonstrated delays in development and who have not yet reached 3 years of age
- Preschool Special Education Services are available for students who have demonstrated delays in development and who are of preschool age
- Registration in the district is required
- Once registration is complete, the enrollment information is provided to the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE)

PREK PROGRAM INFORMATION
Pre-Kindergarten Registration is open
- The Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program is for children that meet the age requirement. Your child must be age four (4) on or before December 1 of the current year.
- The Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program is available for established residents residing within the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. Residency verification documentation will be required. This also includes families who will be attending our Community Based UPK Partner Organizations.
- Students are placed based upon a zoning requirement. It is NOT a come first served process.
- You will choose a preference of program within the application process
- If you have questions about alternate-stop transportation or general transportation questions please contact the Transportation Department at 845-568-6833 or email at transportation@NECSD.net
