During this time students got to hear and meet New York State Regent Wills, who was a surprise visitor at this even today and Sheila Arnold.

We had an amazing time getting to know the residents at High Pointe and sharing stories, poems, and food. It was so nice to serve in our local community and share an amazing Thanksgiving meal.

NFA Main Campus celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with student musical performances. The celebration can be viewed in full below.

NFA Main Students, Faculty, Administration, and Staff worked together to make this amazing video to bring awareness to the need to end bullying.

NFA North Campus celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with an assembly filled with speakers, poignant words from historical figures, and special performances by assistant principal Ms. Lauren Rivera and students from GAMS.

Gidney Avenue Memorial School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by showcasing class performances of dances and readings representing different countries.

Gardnertown Leadership Academy celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with student performances, special guest reading performance, and dozens of special guest readers - including high school volunteers from NFA.

The Newburgh Enlarged City School District and Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Team welcomed students, families, and community members to celebrate the culmination of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The students in Mrs. Walkers participated in the 100 Book Reading Challenge through IRLA. On Friday, November 15th, they achieved their goal of reading 100 books since September.

New Windsor School had a wonderful celebration of Amazing Character Trait Awardees! Our students were recognized for their excellence in Characters of Honesty and Responsibility; character traits for the months of September and October.

Horizons on the Hudson participated in a 5K run as part of their culminating activity for the group.

Students in Ms. Amaro’s class studied cognates when covering Geography. Cognates are words that are similar in English and Spanish.
