Mr. Torrance Harvey, Mayor of the City of Newburgh Presents to NFA West Scholars
Mr. Torrance Harvey, teacher at Newburgh Free Academy’s North Campus and mayor for the City of Newburgh presented to scholars at Newburgh Free Academy’s West Campus as part of a regular speaker series hosted by the high school campus. Mr. Harvey discussed the ebbs and flows of his career path, his role with the city council, and read passages from his book of poetry.
Scholars take turn introducing presenters. Mr. James Brantley, 10th grade scholar, introduced Mr. Harvey by reading his bio.

NFA West campus welcomes presenters from the local community every week to discuss community and career experiences, exposing scholars to a range of potential paths for their own futures.
