An important letter from the Principal of Newburgh Free Academy North
November 1, 2018
Dear Newburgh Free Academy North Campus families,
I am writing to inform you of an incident that took place this morning at Newburgh Free Academy, North Campus. It was reported that two students were involved in an altercation. It was also reported that one student was injured as a result of the fight.
Each student was addressed according to the District Code of Conduct. Security monitors and our School Resource Officer responded quickly. One student was taken to the City of Newburgh Police Department and one student was taken to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.
As you know, the safety of our students and faculty is our highest priority. Please help us remind your child(ren) to speak to an adult when incidents occur and that it is important to tell a teacher, guidance counselor, or administrator.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact our main office at (845) 563-3400.
Through the work of all,
Mr. Matteo Doddo
Co-Principal of Newburgh Free Academy, North Campus
Newburgh Enlarged City School District
