Summer Hygiene Kit Supply Drive
The United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region recently held a Summer Hygiene Kit Supply Drive after hearing about the plight of local students. The NECSD was fortunate to be a recipient of some of the donations of various hygiene supplies to help students over the summer and throughout the year.
William Morgan, the homeless liaison for the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, explained that this year he had 880 students in the program who were or had been at some time during the school year homeless. These students and others will be the beneficiaries of hygiene drive items at the Newburgh Free Academy Hygiene Pantry, where they'll be able to pick up items all summer.
