Freshman Places 5th in NYSPHAA Indoor Track Championships Event
The NFA Girls Varisty Track Team had one girl make it to the podium. Freshman Sania Kuylen placed 5th with the intersectional Section 9 relay at the NYSPHAA Indoor Track Championships at Ocean Breeze track facility in Staten Island, NY this weekend. Congratulations on your TWO medals Sania and congratulations to all of the girls that qualified for the championship. Hard work pays off!
Three athletes qualified to compete in States this year. Freshmen athlete Alondra Cruz Delgado competed in the 1000 meter run. Sania Kuylen, also a freshman competed in the 200 meter leg of the Intersectional Relay. Sophomore athlete Nancy Johnson competed in the 55 meter dash.
Previously this season, the NFA Girls Varsity Track Team set a school record in 4x800 relay.
