HOH Chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society Donates Food to Pantry
The fourth and fifth grade members of the Horizons on the Hudson Magnet School chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society ended their year long food drive this week. Each month a different grade at the school was charged with gathering non-perishable items to benefit the food pantry at the St. George Episcopal Church on Grand Street. The items were counted, sorted and delivered to the church by the members of the Honor Society. The three classes that donated the most items will be treated to an ice cream party sponsored by the Honor Society. This year, a total of 1,173 items were collected.
