"Literacy Happens" 4-part Youth Literacy Workshop Offered through Family and Community Engagement Team
Join us at the Family and Community Engagement "Literacy Happens" 4-part Workshop.
The four-part workshop series is designed to help families learn how literacy knowledge and skills develop in young children (ages 3-4) and what they can do to support their child’s growth even before school begins.
The sessions include simple yet powerful activities in each of the six key areas of literacy development such as concepts of print, writing, phonological awareness, letter-sound knowledge, comprehension and oral language. This includes how to support literacy in the home including the living room, kitchen, bathroom & at bedtime.
