Lighthouse Team at GAMS hosts the Superintendent
The Student Advisory Committee and Lighthouse Team from GAMS Tech Magnet School hosted Superintendent of Schools Dr. Roberto Padilla on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. The team, led by school administrators, spoke about the importance of being leaders in their schools and the importance of the 7 Habits. The Lighthouse Team and the 7 Habits are part of the Leader in Me. The Leader in Me teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. The purpose of the Lighthouse Team is to promote The Leader in Me model inside the school so that it stays strong and vibrant. The 7 Habits are: Be Proactive, Begin with the End in Mind, Put First Things First, Think Win-Win, Seek First to Understand Then Be Understood, Synergize, and Sharpen the Saw."
