NFA Goldbacks Crew Team Win Medals at Recent Competitions
NFA Goldbacks Crew team had several excellent rowing achievements at recent competitions:
At the Orange Ulster Championships (against competitors including Warwick, Kingston, O'Neill, Clarkstown, CCRA, NRC...):
- The Men's Varsity 4 took 2nd/silver (Chris Cosgrove, Philip "Ian" Williams, Jared Shapiro, Luke Consani, Coxswain Jillian Roy)
- The Women's Varsity 4 took 1st/gold (Kate Perez, Catherine WIlliams, Jamie Forbes, Jenna Caster, Coxswain Isabella Simoni)
- The Women's Varsity 8 took 2nd/silver (Maua Pasqualicchio, Imani Sumner, Leilani Catala, Daphne Rose Mariano, Madalyn Noble, Sydney Corwin, Mia Ramirez, Shelby Tibbs, Coxswain Dina Pavri)
- The Goldback team took home the Women's Orange/Ulster Cup (for highest points in the Hudson Valley Rowing League).
HVRL Novice Championships (against competitors including Suffern, Wappingers, Spackenkill, Rhinebeck, FDR, Poughkeepsie, North Rockland, Kingston, Warwick, O'Neill, Our Lady Lourdes, Arlington, Cortlandt, NRC...):
- Women's Novice 4 took 3rd/bronze (Alec Grogan, Bret Serafini, Michael Abrams, Jared Kerin, Coxswain Julia Steiner)
- Men's Novice 4 took 2nd/silver (Ava Esposito, Isabelle Goings-Perrot, Amanda Ahearn, Jenna Bunch, Coxswain -Brandon Collins)
Both were hosted at Pinecliff Lake in West Milford, NJ. Photos below of all 5 medaling boats & team with cup.
