Security Guards Engage in Regular Professional Development

All security guards throughout the district engage in regular professional development training to learn and/or refresh skills and best practices. Earlier this year, the district presented about security and gathered feedback from parents at scheduled Safety Town Halls. As a result of those conversations, the district implemented the use of walk through metal detectors for all visitors at school events as well all scholars of grades 6-12. At a recent training, security guards learned the process and updated their safety skills.
