Meadow Hill School Hosts Annual Battle of the Superstars Contest
Meadow Hill School hosted their annual Battle of the Superstars competition to crown the winners of the time-honored obstacle course. Two athletes, a boy and a girl, are crowned in 4th and 5th grade. Top students from all 4th and 5th grade physical education classes are selected to compete in a bracket style elimination contest. The competition is held in class until contests are narrowed to a smaller group. The remaining contestants then compete for the title in front of a cheering audience of their younger peers, many of whom hold signs and chant the names of the competing contestants. The course challenges students in strength, coordination, and endurance. The event is coordinated by Meadow Hill physical education teachers, Mrs. Danielle Desarro, Mrs.Elissa Dickinson, Mr. Scott Seabury, and Ms. Kristen Gunsch.
