Department of Food Services Hosts Welcome Back Professional Development Sessions

The department of Food Services welcomed back all employees for a day of professional development prior to the start of the new year. Participants heard  from motivational speaker Jeff Joiner who discussed customer service and important concepts for creating an engaging experience for students and colleagues. Mr. Joiner also spoke with cafeteria managers during a smaller session on leadership. The sessions were offered as a regional workshop for the New York School Nutrition Association (NYSNA). All district food service personnel are members of NYSNA. NYSNA is a cohesive group of school nutrition employees, managers, directors, registered dietitians, nutritionists, and industry members in New York State committed to ensuring that all students have access to healthy meals.

The department of Food Services is led by Mrs. Caitlin Lazarski.
