Many of our schools participated in activities surrounding Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 6-12).
Our students learned a comprehensive list of fire safety recommendations, including the importance of smoke alarms, the dangers of matches, candles and stoves, and how to navigate their home by crawling below the smoke and checking the temperature of doors before opening them.
Students were also shown the trucks and equipment our local Firefighters use to battle fires. For additional resources regarding Fire Prevention Week, visit: https://www.nfpa.org/Public-Education/Campaigns/Fire-Prevention-Week
ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Team at communications@necsd.net. We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
