Please Note: Please use dates and times listed below as the printed calendars sent home have been updated since printing.
Kindergarten Selection Steps & Important Dates:
• DECEMBER 2nd Selection tours begin (See chart below)
• FEBRUARY 11th Kindergarten Choice Sheets distributed to all UPK Sites to be distributed
• FEBRUARY 13th Kindergarten enrollment begins families choose their top 4 choices and are selected by
lottery for Kindergarten at NECSD. Siblings of students already enrolled in a particular school have preference
to that building.
• FEBRUARY 24th Choice Sheets collected by Registration/Welcome Center
• MARCH 6th Kindergarten enrollment ends
• APRIL 13th Lottery Information presented to Cabinet
• APRIL/MAY Notification letters sent to parents

Parents are reminded that requirements for registration in the district are available in the downloadable registration packet on our website at newburghschools.org and by visiting the Registration/Welcome Center at 124 Grand St. Newburgh, NY 12550. Office Hours: 8:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. PLEASE CHECK THE DISTRICT WEBSITE CALENDAR FOR ANY CHANGES TO THIS SCHEDULE.
Unlimited Horizons at Horizons-on-the-Hudson
Students who excel in all academic areas and who achieve above and beyond the levels of their peers are candidates for Unlimited Horizons. Unlimited Horizons students have self-motivation, leadership ability, and the potential for exceptional intellectual and creative output.
