South Middle School Recognizes Perfect and Improving Attendance
South Middle School held their monthly attendance incentive event for all students who achieved perfect attendance for the month of November. During the event, students with improved attendance were also included. The South Middle School chorus, band, and orchestra performed songs from the Winter Concert that was held earlier this month.
We are so pleased to be able to incorporate these events throughout the school day. The scholars love attending them as much as we love hosting them!
Most of the attendance committee was on hand for the event: Mr. Vincent Brancato, AP; Mrs. Stephanie Givans-Chambers, 8th grade Math teacher; and Dr. John Murphy, Spanish Teacher. The remaining members are: Mrs. Karen Perez, 8th Grade School Counselor; Mrs. Deanna Peralta, School Social Worker; Mrs. Carol Johnson-Cromer, Attendance Teacher; Mrs. Enna Michetti, Attendance Aide; Mrs. Vilma Torres-Pagán, 7th Grade School Counselor; Mrs. Toriea Brown, School Nurse; and Mr. Kareem Donaldson, 6th Grade School Counselor.
Story and photos provided by Mrs. Vilma Torres-Pagán, 7th Grade School Counselor.
