NFA Main Scholars Prepare to Label Artifacts at Washington's Headquarters
Ninth grade Honors students from Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus took a trip to Washington's Headquarters recently. The scholars are going to do a museum label writing activity using artifacts from the collection from Washington's Headquarters. Washington Headquarter's director, Elyse Goldberg, was interested in getting a younger perspective about the eclectic items that have been amassed since it was make a historical site in 1850. The scholars will do research concerning their artifact and then write their interpretation of it's historical significance and purpose.
Also at Washington's Headquarters, Ms. Fay Pacht's acting students were perform original works about President's Day over the upcoming celebratory weekend.
