Helpful Guides to Speak to Your Children about COVID-19
While you are home with your children this weekend, here are some helpful guides to speak to your children about COVID-19, the novel coronavirus and to re-instill proper handwashing techniques.
TALKING TO CHILDREN:

PROPER HANDWASHING:
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has launched a new national handwashing campaign. Learn how to make handwashing a healthy habit in your family here: https://www.cdc.gov/handwashing/handwashing-family.html.
REMINDERS:
Prevention:
- Wash hands often with soap and water
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose & mouth
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your elbow
- Clean and disinfect areas and objects used regularly
Symptoms:
- Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
