Postcards have been mailed out informing the NECSD community about the upcoming Budget Vote and School Board Election. Keep your eyes open as residents should be receiving their information soon!

School Board Election will be held remotely, by absentee ballot only.

NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE NEWBURGH ENLARGED CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Date of Annual Meeting: June 9, 2020                        

Date of Public Hearing on the Budget: June 1, 2020

In accordance with Executive Order No. 202.26, the Budget Vote and School Board Election will be held remotely, by Absentee Ballot only.  Qualified voters of this School District will receive absentee ballots by mail.

To be a qualified voter you must be a US Citizen, at least 18 years old by June 9, 2020, a School District resident for 30 days immediately preceding the vote, and registered to vote in School District elections and having voted in any School District election/vote during the past 4 calendar years.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, there will be no personal voter registration held at school district offices prior to the June 9, 2020 vote.

If you are not registered, you can register with the County Board of Elections by mail or remotely through the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles website at:

AVISO DE REUNIÓN ANNUAL DEL DISTRITO ESCOLAR DE LA CIUDAD DE NEWBURGH

Fecha de la audiencia pública sobre el presupuesto: 1 de junio de 2020

Cumpliendo con el Decreto N.o 202.26, el voto sobre el presupuesto y la elección de la Junta Escolar se hará a distancia, usando únicamente la papeleta de voto ausente.  Los electores con derecho a votar en este distrito escolar recibirán la papeleta por correo.

Para tener derecho al voto usted debe ser ciudadano de Estados Unidos, haber cumplido 18 años a más tardar el 9 de junio de 2020, ser residente del distrito escolar por los 30 días que preceden al día de votación, y haberse inscrito para votar en las elecciones del distrito escolar y haber votado en cualquier elección del distrito escolar/haber votado en los últimos 4 años calendarios.  A causa de la pandemia del COVID-19, las oficinas del distrito escolar no atenderán inscripciones para votar en persona antes de la votación del 9 de junio de 2020.
