Pre-K Chromebook Distribution
Pre-K Chromebook Distribution:
Chromebooks are now available for Pre-K scholars. Please check the distribution instructions below for information on how your child will receive a Chromebook. If you don’t know which group below applies to your family, please visit our website for the Top 5 Things You Need to Know Now.
- 100% VIRTUAL COHORT
Families can pick up Chromebooks at their assigned school on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 8:30am until 3:30pm.
- BLUE COHORT - HYBRID MODEL
Students will receive their Chromebooks on their second day of in-person instruction on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. No family pickup needed.
- GOLD COHORT - HYBRID MODEL
Students will receive their Chromebooks on their second day of in-person instruction on Friday, October 9, 2020. No family pickup needed.
- Scholars who attend COMMUNITY BASED PRE-K PROVIDERS
Families can pick up their Chromebooks from GAMS Elementary School on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 8:30am until 3:30pm.
If a parent/guardian is not available to pick up the device, someone can come on their behalf. Anyone picking up a device must bring a photo ID, along with the ID# for the scholar. If you do not have the ID#, you must provide the name, grade level, and school.
Face coverings that cover your nose and mouth are required when on school grounds. Please also be aware of NYS social distancing requirements and be sure to stay at least 6 feet away from other families when arriving and leaving.

There will be a distribution on Thursday, October 8th from 4pm - 7pm at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center for:
- Scholars in grades K-12 who still need a Chromebook
- Swaps and exchanges
- Hotspot distribution
