NFA Main Campus Scholars Create Video Games for Younger Scholars to Play and Learn
For the last few years, Ms. Elizabeth Thomas-Cappello's high school classes have walked from Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus to GAMS to teach elementary scholars to code through video games that they created in class. This year, Ms. Thomas-Cappello's classes created the video games for scholars to play and interact with at home. Some of these games are geared toward 3rd and 4th grade scholars, with their curriculum in mind. In Ms. Thomas-Cappello's computer science classes, she stresses creating and using technology for good. These games were created by the older students to share with the younger to provide some fun during this challenging time.
Students can watch a quick walkthrough video of the options, click on the game they would like to play and also vote for their favorite.
