Volunteers Needed: Turn the District Teal
Volunteers are needed to “Turn the District Teal”! Each year, Meadow Hill Physical Education Teacher Elissa Dickinson, along with a handful of volunteers, work to turn the district teal in support of ovarian cancer awareness. Dickinson was diagnosed with Stage 1 ovarian cancer in 2009 while in her early twenties. Since her battle, she has become an avid supporter of raising awareness about ovarian cancer in her community. Volunteers are asked to report to the NFA Main Campus at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30.
ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Team at communications@necsd.net. We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
