Family and Community Engagement Team Volunteers for National Day of Service
On January 18, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. the NECSD participated in The National Day of Service, to commemorate the spirit of Martin Luther King. One hundred NECSD families, identified by our caring Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) professionals, were invited to the Blacc Vanilla Cafe to receive shelf-stable bags of food.
Shouldering Up on that day were Haile and Charmaine Thomas from Happy Org., the Executive Director of Data and Technnology, Ms. Onyx Peterson, Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Coordinator, Mr. Antony Roncal, and the Director of FACE, Mrs. Pamela Peterson.
Monday’s National Day Of Service was a moment of reflection on the humanitarian and social efforts of Martin Luther King, where generosity, team work, and compassion came together to show our love and support for our scholars and families.
ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Team at communications@necsd.net. We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
