Horizons Scholar Creates Arrangement of Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely"
This past month in the music room we have been celebrating Black History Month. One musician we learned about was Stevie Wonder. The music standards that we have been focusing on this month was to "Generate and conceptualize artistic ideas and work" and "Organize and develop artistic ideas and work." The standards are asking scholars to use musical skills for arrangements and compositions as well as writing rhythms and documenting those ideas. To bring the music standards and Black history month together we made arrangements of "Isn't she lovely" by Stevie Wonder using "Chrome Music Lab." One scholar, Quinn Tracey, had a composition that stood out from the rest. Quinn is a 5th Grade student at HOH in Ms.Hoffman's Unlimited Horizons Class. Students were given a guideline to follow when creating their accompaniments/composition but Quinn's composition went above and beyond what was expected of our scholars. Ms. Kristina Martorano, Instrumental, Choral and General Music at Horizons on the Hudson would like to take a moment to share this arrangement/composition with you. Enjoy "Isn't She Lovely" arranged by Quinn Tracey.
