Meadow Hill Librarian Promotes Inclusivity on CBS New York
Meadow Hill School librarian was recently awarded a book grant from Hope In a Box, a program that aims to promote LGBTQIA+ inclusive programs in public schools. As part of their Together in Pride, CBS New York interviewed Ms. Grady along with the founder and other recipients of the program.
“Their mission really is impactful,” said Kelly Grady, a librarian at Meadow Hill School in Newburgh, New York.
“A child is not afraid to go up to their librarian and say, you know, ‘I’m questioning my gender identity. Do you have any books about a kid like me?'” Grady said.
