Virtual Learning Update - Educational Performance Request

The Newburgh Enlarged City School District would like to share the following update regarding a virtual option for students during the 2021-2022 school year. 

MEDICALLY FRAGILE:

NECSD is currently providing virtual instruction for a select medically fragile population. The district will continue to review requests for students who meet the recently revised medically fragile definition (slide 5). If you feel your scholar qualifies, please complete the Health Eligibility Form for Medically Fragile Students. If you have already completed this form once, you do not have to complete it again. All responses previously received will be reviewed with the revised definition. 

EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE:

A second opportunity for a virtual model will be for those students who have demonstrated that while 100% virtual during the 2020-2021 school year, their educational performance was significantly better than when educated in-person previously. 

If you believe your child meets this criteria and you would like the district to consider them for a virtual option for the second semester, please complete this form.

This information was presented and discussed at the Board of Education meeting held on September 28, 2021. 

If you have more than one child that you would like to be considered for virtual learning for educational performance, please complete this form once per student. This form will close on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 12pm.

El Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad Ampliada de Newburgh desea compartir la siguiente actualización con respecto a una opción virtual para los estudiantes durante el año escolar 2021-2022.

MÉDICAMENTE FRÁGIL:

NECSD actualmente brinda instrucción virtual para una población selecta médicamente frágil. El distrito continuará revisando las solicitudes de estudiantes que cumplan con la definición médicamente frágil recientemente revisada (diapositiva 5). Si cree que su estudiante califica, complete el Formulario de elegibilidad de salud para estudiantes médicamente frágiles. Si ya ha completado este formulario una vez, no es necesario que lo vuelva a completar. Todas las respuestas recibidas previamente serán revisadas.

DESEMPEÑO EDUCATIVO:

Una segunda oportunidad para un modelo virtual será para aquellos estudiantes que hayan demostrado que, si bien fueron 100% virtuales durante el año escolar 2020-2021, su desempeño educativo fue significativamente mejor que cuando se educó en persona anteriormente.

Si cree que su hijo cumple con este criterio y le gustaría que el distrito lo considere para una opción virtual para el segundo semestre, complete este formulario.

Esta información fue presentada y discutida en la reunión de la Junta de Educación que tomó lugar el 28 de septiembre de 2021.

Si tiene más de un hijo que le gustaría ser considerado para el aprendizaje virtual para el desempeño educativo, complete este formulario una vez por alumno. Este formulario se cerrará el viernes 8 de octubre de 2021 a las 12 p.m.
