Power at Temple Hill Restored
Students at Temple Hill Academy arrived to school Monday morning to a power outage at their school as a result of heavy rain and winds. The district did not receive notification in time to alert parents and students or stop buses. Central Hudson estimated power would be restored within a half an hour, so the school day began as normal. All natural light sources were cleared, including skylights and window shades to allow natural light to illuminate classrooms and corridors. Additional security measures were taken to ensure safety throughout the day. Repairs took longer than anticipated and power was restored at 9:49am. No incidents were reported during the outage.
