National School Bus Safety Week
This week is National School Bus Safety Week! Please take a few minutes to read some safety tips and take a look at this visual to better understand how children should safely enter and exit a school bus. Families, school bus drivers, and community members each have an important part to play in school bus safely for our children!
- Remind students that they can't always be seen by the driver if they are standing in the red danger zones.
- Students should move 10-15 feet away from the bus when they get off the bus.
- Watch for the driver's signal to cross the street. Always cross in front of the bus, never behind it.
ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Team at communications@necsd.net. We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
