NFA Girls Tennis Team Celebrates Senior Night!
The NFA Girls Tennis Team celebrated senior night earlier this fall. Leah Isaacs is the sole senior on the team. She is part of the Second Doubles team and really enjoys playing with a partner. Leah plans to attend college and work in the fall and may try to continue her tennis career into her collegiate years.
The NFA Girls Tennis Team finished the season with a Divisional Record of 6-4 and an Overall Team Record of 7-6. Game by game highlights can be found below.
The NFA Girls Tennis Team is coached by Coach Keith Schafer.
"I am proud to have been able to coach this group of young athletes. As the new varsity tennis coach this season, the returning players welcomed me to the team and assisted me during practices. A special thanks to team Captains’ Allison Shapiro and Jade Garay for helping me train the new varsity players. We welcomed 5 new players to the varsity team this year where we reached an overall team record of 7-6. We had three doubles team qualify for the OCIAA Tennis Tournament where Allison Shapiro and Jade Garay advanced into the semi-final round where they placed 4th overall in the county tournament. This qualified them for the Section IX Tennis tournament. In the Section IX Tournament they again won their way into the semifinal round, where they placed 4th overall in the tournament. I am looking forward to see how their skills will continue to develop as they prepare for next year. Go Goldbacks! "
