Schools Open - Virtual Learning Option - Tuesday, November 23

Hello NECSD students and families,

The district believes that our schools are safe and that students learn best in this environment. However, the district will be offering students in all grade levels the option of a virtual learning model for Tuesday, November 23, 2021. All schools will remain open. This virtual model will be an option for any student whose parent/guardian chooses to have them learn from home today. 

This option can be either an asynchronous assignment for each class period/subject area or via live, synchronous instruction. Each teacher will communicate how students should participate in their class. Families who select this option today for their students should email the building principal informing them that their child will be learning virtually for today. Students learning virtually today should sign into their Google Classroom at the start of the day for instructions and/or at the beginning of each class period. 

Please be patient as our teachers adapt to this update and allow us time to coordinate the instruction. 

More information about attendance will be coming later this morning.

Hola estudiantes y familias de NECSD,

El distrito cree que nuestras escuelas son seguras y que los estudiantes aprenden mejor en este entorno. Sin embargo, el distrito ofrecerá a los estudiantes de todos los grados la opción de un modelo de aprendizaje virtual para el martes 23 de noviembre de 2021. Todas las escuelas permanecerán abiertas. Este modelo virtual será una opción para cualquier estudiante cuyos padres / tutores elijan que aprendan desde casa hoy.

Esta opción puede ser una asignación asincrónica para cada período de clase / área temática o mediante instrucción sincrónica en vivo. Cada maestro comunicará cómo los estudiantes deben participar en su clase. Las familias que eligen esta opción hoy para sus estudiantes deben enviar un correo electrónico al director de la escuela informándoles que su hijo aprenderá virtualmente por hoy. Los estudiantes que aprenden virtualmente hoy deben iniciar sesión en su Google Classroom al comienzo del día para recibir instrucciones y / o al comienzo de cada período de clase.
