New Windsor School Celebrates Good Student Behavior
On Wednesday December 10 New Windsor School celebrated our first PBIS Gold Card activity, recognizing all New Windsor School students who followed the NWS expectations during the first trimester. The PBIS program is facilitated by school psychologist Kelly Caci and music teacher Mary Petruncola. New Windsor’s expectations are: Be Responsible, Respectful, Ready, and Safe. Students were rewarded with grade level African drumming and dancing assemblies provided by Path to Rhythm. Mr. Adam taught drumming using authentic African hand drums called Djembes and Mr. YaYa instructed the students in telling a story through African dance. NWS extends a big congratulations to all our students who followed the expectations, and thanks to the staff at NWS who helped with the event, as well as Adam and YaYa of Path to Rhythm.
